Saqpinaq Carol Kunnuk

Saqpinaq Carol Kunnuk is an actress, film director, script supervisor and production coordinator. she works closely with film director Zacharias Kunuk (taking on many roles in almost all of his projects, including recently co-creating with him the documentary feature Bowhead Whale Hunting With My Ancestors).  She also works closely with Isuma Television in Igloolik, Nunavut. Selected credits: Anaana (2001, co-director, with the Women's Video Collective of Igloolik), Uvanga (2013, actor), Queen of the Quest (director), and The Journals of Knud Rasmussen (2006, script supervisor and production coordination). She has also worked as a television producer for the Inuit Broadcasting Corporation and the Nunavut Independent Television Network. She is the local coordinator and co-founder of Arnait Video Productions (Women's Video Collective) in Igloolik, Nunavut, where she is based.
