Monique Pascall, Ensemble Dancer/Alto
Monique Pascall is a Toronto-born performer, choreographer, and educator based in the Durham region. A graduate of Wexford Collegiate School of the Arts and Toronto Metropolitan University with a BFA in Performance Dance, Monique has performed in various productions across Canada and internationally. Her work includes prominent events such as ManifesTO, Dance Ontario DanceWeekend, AfroFest, and the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition in Trinidad & Tobago.
Monique has collaborated with local choreographers such as Andrea Nann, Emilio Colalillo, Angela Blumberg, Lua Shayenne, and Natasha Powell, contributing to a range of original works. She has also had the opportunity to perform in numerous music videos and serve as a backup dancer for Canadian artists including Akil Elijah, Charmaine, Shopé, Shad.K, and Sojiii.
In addition, Monique has worked with Afrobeat artists such as Adekunle Gold, CKay, Kcee, and Zlatan, further expanding her diverse portfolio. She also joined Asake on a North American tour, showcasing her dynamic performance skills to wider audiences. Monique has collaborated with Caribbean artists like Destra, continuing to bridge cultural connections in the global music scene.
For the past five years, Monique has taught Hip-Hop foundations, Jazz, and Afro-Caribbean dance, with a continued focus on African-influenced styles and cultures. Her teaching approach is rooted in her passion for educating Black youth about their heritage, culture, and expressive potential. Monique strives for authenticity in both her performances and educational work, fostering a deep sense of pride and acceptance in artistic expression.
