Ineza Mugisha, Priscilla, ensemble Soprano
Ineza Mugisha is a multi-genre musician and actor from Toronto,Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Monica Whicher. She has been able to share her voice in different venues, and concert halls across North America. Since graduating, she has debuted at Roy Thompson Hall as a soprano soloist at the Future Stops Festival, as well as the soprano soloist for Nathaniel Dett Chorale’s production of “The Ordering of Moses”. In 2023, she had her debut performances as the Soprano in Guelph Chamber Choir’s Messiah. In the same year she performed in her first professional production “Of the Sea”; with Tapestry Opera as well as her first professional principal role as Priscilla in Volcano Theatre’s “Treemonisha” in collaboration with Luminato, COC, and TOLive. She has since then performed various concert hall performances with Chorus Niagara, Grand Philharmonic, and St.James Choir to name a few. Along with her growing list of Classical and R&B musical projects, she has also made her professional theatre acting debut with Start the Riot Theatre in their premier of “Tendencies”. She has worked with Volcano theatre on various other projects following her original Treemonisha debut such as “The Agreements”, and they’re ongoing project “I Have A Drum”.
