Peter Perez Rojas, Clarinet
A native from Ottawa, Ontario, he started his musical life in 2008 through “OrKidstra”, a not-for-profit ‘El
Sistema’ inspired music program in Ottawa. Growing up with “OrKidstra” had a profound and everlasting
impact to his life and musicianship thanks to being surrounded by wonderful musicians who, most
importantly, are beautiful and generous people. Peter Perez has performed with many renowned
international orchestras such as Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, including being a featured soloist with the NAC orchestra. He has worked with many acclaimed artists including Gustavo Dudamel and Alexander Shelley as well as participating in masterclasses by Yehuda Gilad, Stephen Williamson, Boris Allakhverdyan. Peter holds a Bachelor in Music Performance at Memorial University of Newfoundland under Dr. Christine Carter and is currently completing a Master’s in Music Performance at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University under Alain Desgagné
