Embodied Text: mindful approaches to contemporary text based practice

Returning for the 2018 Conservatory after a sold-out workshop last year, the class will explore three embodied text-based practices that focus on moment to moment presence, figurative heft, and text-derived ensemble building: the walkabout (collective text ambulation), the labyrinth (sensory image mapping), and core-sampling (plumbing the poetics of complex text and dropping into stage directions). 

How does one experience presence? How does one embody language? How does one identify and work intimately with the poetics of complex text?
