Max Cameron Fearon (Liar/lyre), EEAP Artist

Max Cameron Fearon (they/them) is a queer & disabled artist and artsworker based in Tsí Tkarón:to, whose practice centres Wonder, Urgency, and Care.
As a Director-Dramaturge, Max is interested in non-naturalistic stories that spark imagination beyond “the text”, and that explore the connections we form as catalysts for personal and political transformation.


Since 2016, Max has collaborated with Rhubarb!l (Buddies in Bad Times Theatre), Nightwood Theatre, Theatre of the Beat, Dead Name Theatre, Aluna Theatre (CAMINOS), Assembly Theatre, and several Fringe festivals. They’ve also served as an Assistant Director with the Stratford Festival (Langham Director’s Workshop 2024); as a Producer with SummerWorks (2021 - 2025); and as a community arts Facilitator & Program Manager across Toronto.


Max is one half of LIAR / LYRE, a collaboration with River Oliveira that creates sound-driven performance experiences. They are the Founding Dramaturge of Dead Name Theatre, and an Associate Artist with Mixed Company Theatre. Connect with Max at mcfearon.crevado.com
