LED BY: Simeilia Hodge-Dallaway & Reginald Edmund
LOCATION: THE THEATRE CENTRE
DATES: JULY 22-24 | 7pm-10pm

Black Lives, Black Words: Decolonizing narratives is a three-day workshop facilitated by co-founders of Black Lives, Black Words International Project, Reginald Edmund (USA, award-winning playwright) and Simeilia Hodge-Dallaway (UK, black play specialist and Founder/CEO Artistic Directors of the Future/Beyond The Canon). During this workshop, we invite artists, especially people of colour, to explore inspirations from the past to create work in the present which will impact the future. This insightful workshop will empower participants to understand the power of their voice as well as spark their art to be activist-driven by looking at who owns our legacy and exploring how we build upon it.

This is a practical workshop which will require participants to write short plays and participate in group discussions.
